Comparative Study on Needs and Satisfactions for Nursing Care of Old age in Rural Areas

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to analize needs and satisfactions for nursing care of old age and to give more favorable method for pormoting health of olders in nursing activities.
In order to obtain information questionaires were distributed to 330 olders of 6 regions nurse practioner was acting.
Questionaire survey was conducted from Oct. 9 till, Oct.21 1989. The results were as follows:
1) The Needs showed significantly higher score than the Satisfactions.
2) Both of the high score items in Needs and Satisfactions were Vital sign, Administration of Drugs, Meeting and A companion to talk.
3) The items which had a high score Needs and low score Satisfactions were Body weight, Skin, Prevention methods of inflammation, Social support system and Prepare for death.
4) The Needs had all significant correlation in each group and Satisfactions were equal to the Needs except Health Education.
